Graduate student wins Best Poster Award at 2008 GLRC Annual Conference

March 15, 2008

Shannon Rupprecht, a graduate student working in the lab of Dr. Chris Pennuto, was honored with the Best Poster Award at the 2008 Great Lakes Research Consortium annual conference held in Syracuse, NY. Ms. Rupprecht won the award (actually a tie, but why split accolades) for her poster titled: "Assessing barriers to round goby invasions of Great Lakes tributary streams." The project has been made possible by a grant from the New York State Sea Grant to Dr. Pennuto and on which Shannon is a Sea Grant Scholar.
