In 2013, the GLC hosted an Open House at the Field Station in the spring.

This was the first event in many years to invite people from campus and our local collaborators to come visit the Field Station.

Sasha Karatayev gave remarks welcoming everyone to the Field Station. This event was in addition to the Fall Open House on campus, so there was less information to present and the event was more informal.

The Field Station is located on the Black Rock Channel, which is adjacent to the Niagara River. It was a very nice day!

Guests were able to see some ongoing research set up on the grounds at the Field Station. This experiment was exploring algal growth.

Guests enjoyed the nice weather, and also were able to see some of our boats.
