2/20
A student using a secchi disk to measure water clarity.
3/20
Secchi disks are used to measure water clarity. They give a reading called Secchi depth, which has been used as a measure of water quality for over 100 years, and can be compared to historic datasets.
4/20
Kit Hastings teaches the class about the YSI multiparameter sonde, which is used to get water temperature, dissolved oxygen, and other water quality parameters.
5/20
The class records a vertical temperature and oxygen profile.
6/20
The class takes notes for their lab report.
