Drs. Karatayev and Burlakova were featured in an article in the most recent issue of 1300 Elmwood, the campus magazine for alumni and friends. The article focuses on their path from Belarus to Buffalo. “We established a really nice relationship at Stephen F. Austin University,” said Karatayev, “but we wanted to move north. Most of our friends were there, and that’s where the glacial lakes are, and of course our zebra mussels were there, too.” Read the rest of the article here.
