Katie Hastings filters the water samples to extract the chlorophyll, then grinds sample filters in an acetone solution.

The clarified sample is decanted into a cuvette.

Katie places extracted chlorophyll samples in the spectrophotometer to determine the chlorophyll concentration in the water samples.
